As part of the 2002 Golden Jubilee celebrations, we were privileged to welcome Jeannette Charles to Roe Green Village. Her incredible likeness to Queen Elizabeth II made her presence truly unforgettable, adding a sense of grandeur and charm to our community event. Jeannette’s warmth and passion for her craft were evident as she interacted with residents, conveying a regal spirit that perfectly complemented the celebratory atmosphere. Her visit left a lasting impression, and her connection to Roe Green Village continues to be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to meet her.
It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Jeannette Charles on 2 June 2024, at the age of 96. Her legacy as a beloved Queen look-a-like and her contributions to so many memorable occasions, including ours, will forever be remembered. Jeannette brought joy and inspiration to countless people throughout her life, and her remarkable talent and grace will be deeply missed.
